Hilary's funeral ceremony is on Friday 28th March 2025 at 11am at Islington Crematorium Chapel.  There will be refreshments afterwards in the Residents' Lounge of her sheltered housing complex (Hyde Court, Friern Barnet Lane, Whetstone, London N20 0YD). 

Friends are invited to attend both the funeral and the buffet lunch.  There is no need to wear black. To assist with catering, please inform me of your intention to attend.  [Email: gw08matherrachel@glow.sch.uk]

For those who are unable to attend in person, I am hoping to live stream the ceremony. Details to follow.

There will be family flowers only. In lieu of floral tributes, donations would be very welcome for the RNLI, a charity that Hilary supported. Her maternal grandfather was crew in the Falmouth Lifeboat.

Getting from the crematorium chapel to Hyde Court by public transport: 

The 234 bus towards High Barnet, leaves every 12 minutes from Trott Road stop and arrives at Lawrence Campe Close stop, outside Hyde Court (9 minute journey).  There is a short walk from the crematorium chapel to Trott Road (0.5 miles / 11 minutes).

Travelling by car: 

Vehicular entrance to the Islington & St Pancras Cemetery is from A1000 High Road. Follow signs for the Islington Crematorium Chapel; there is plenty of parking along High View Road.  At Hyde Court, visitors parking is around the side of the building. Alternatively, there is on-street parking.
